WHAT IS WE WIN TOGETHER WEEK 2024?

  • WE WIN Together Week is about building community. Advancing equitable well-being is challenging, rewarding, frustrating, and exciting work:

    • We are creating space to share our lived experiences and deepen our relationships.

    • We are celebrating the leaders, partners, and friends working tirelessly in communities, networks, and organizations across the country—and learning from one another..

    • We are grounding ourselves in a place—St. Louis—a community that is welcoming us in, sharing their story and the stories of their neighborhoods.

  • What could we do together that we couldn't do alone? Together, we'll chart a path to move "multisolvers" forward. Come join the conversation and planning for deep action for 2024!

FAQ

  • Changemakers from the grassroots to the grasstops in every sector–communities, public health and health care, farming, education, economy/finance, policy, etc. all of whom are working to be better ancestors by transforming from within, transforming together and transforming systems of injustice.

  • All of you! While we will have some amazing spotlight or catalyst speakers, including Calvin Terrell, Shemekka Ebony-Coleman, James Clark, Najaah Daniels , Abeni Bloodworth, Richard Joyner - the real power of WE WIN Together Week is that it is about our conversations and sharing with one another!

  • We will be collaborating on becoming Better Ancestors through the following tracks: Well-Being Economy, Health Equity & Structural Racism, Data for Power, and Youth Technology.

  • A block of rooms has been reserved at the Angad Arts Hotel with a group rate of $145+tax/night including breakfast and parking. There are other hotels nearby that you can also stay at if you choose.

  • Please note on the registration form any supports (dietary and/or other requests) that would make your participation easier and WE will do our best to accommodate them or work with you to ensure the event is accessible.

  • The hotel is a short walk (10 minutes) to St Louis University. There is also a direct public bus outside the hotel to get Busch Student Center at SLU. It is not anticipated that a car is necessary. If you are driving to the event, complimentary parking will be available at the hotel.

  • There are two optional early evening gatherings planned. If you have any artistic, musical, spoken word, or comedic talents, we encourage you to bring those to a talent showcase. We will reserve tables at some of the many nearby restaurants to gather in the evening.

  • WE is committed to making this event accessible to as many people as possible and there may be limited funding support available. Please note on the registration form and a WE team member will reach out. If you're able, we invite you to contribute to help someone else attend.

  • We encourage everyone to contribute to supporting this community in a way that works for them. Any amount you can offer is greatly appreciated. If everyone in the movement gave $25-$100, regardless of their ability to attend themselves, we would have enough to cover WIN Week for everyone.

  • Yes, there will be multiple community site visits to choose from. Each of the site visits will discuss one of the key tracks of the gathering.

  • There would be an area available for bag storage in each site. escription
